Welcome to our Top Bar Hive page. We think our well proven designs are the best offered anywhere and our hives are built to last! Our hives have a beautiful garden hive type pitched roof. We also add top vents that create a natural convection to vent the huge moisture build up in your hive and also keeps it cooler in the summer for more productive bees. Lid is exterior plywood with a Cedar Shake Roof just like a regular house roof!  Available colors are dark green, light blue, white or unfinished pine. Just let us know what color you want in the note box when ordering. Otherwise the color we ship will be Light Blue

• This hive is approx. 48" long and 34" high.  Bottom board is a full 7" wide. We've found the wider bottoms on our hives allow the bees to build a more natural comb with less attached side comb.

29-1-7/16 "pre-waxed/splined top bars with a follower board bar are included. The wax makes the hives ready to add bees.

• 2" aluminum moisture release vents on each end of the lid. Please don't buy hives without proper venting designs.
•  Inside of the hive body is untreated solid pine. We don't recomend the cedar hive bodys some other manufacturers use.
• 5-Bee Access holes are on the front side or can be relocated to your preference.
• Fully assembled except you will have to install the legs with bolts provided.
